Another Table Football Option!

As you may have read on some of my other nightlife reviews, I tend to be a bit of a table football freak (albeit not a very good one these days), there aren't many places that combine the two succesfully, so when drunk enough to be brimming with confidence in my skill - I tend to get itchy fingers and head over to a place with table football with a select elite (read: anyone who wants to join and has at least one hand)

Klub Biliardowy - the rather self-explanatory Polish word for Biliard Club usually consists of awful coloured lighting, bad music, several pool tables and the occasional babyfoot table. Arena is no exception from this ugly style of venue, particularly popular with muscular bald chaps and women with unique shades of make-up and even glitzier stilettos, clashing phenomenally with the orange skinned clientelle. Located on Ul. Panska, it's between two of the central roundabouts "ONZ" (United Nations) and "Daszynskiego", just round the corner from the cool as you like Ice Bar.

Arena, on the top floor has always been pretty empty when I've been and whilst most tables charge you 2zl a pop, this place offers you as many "goes" as you like for 10zl. Beer is on the cheapish side and I seem to recall moaning about it last time, so the pipes were probably having an off day either that or the surly bar maid put the most revolting thing she could find in it. The beer is usually quite refreshing though. Beware of spending hours looking like an idiot trying to find the toilet, the toilet door is cleverly blended in to the wall and is hardly noticeable unless of course someone is coming out doing up their britches.

This is a simple venue but it's central, cheap and open until 4am, so there' s not too much to complain about. It's closed on Sundays.
