Description
Gus, from Vienna, opened this licensed street café in the 1960s. Despite government scepticism, his determination to bring a bit of European sophistication to Canberra paid off, and now diners in Canberra can choose from any number of alfresco establishments. Outside, diners are sheltered from the elements as they enjoy the ambience of street dining. Gus' is famous for its big breakfasts (AUD11.50), but has many other delicious dishes such as pastas, risottos, curries, sandwiches and delicious cakes. Try the delicious Pumpkin and Ricotta Bruschetta (AUD8.20).
