You straggle in still strung out from last night. The cool blue light behind the bar draws you in like a mosquito to a bug zapper. Blue is the color of peace. It’s soothing. So is the liquid inside the bottles facing you. And there are so many bottles facing you. But you’re not here for the bottles. Or the blue light. You’re here for the neon yellow mug. Two weeks ago, this place was called Lush Lounge, and it catered to Fort Lauderdale Beach’s gay crowd. Now it’s a straight up sports bar called Bulldog Café (3074 NE 33 Ave., Fort Lauderdale). On any given day you can watch a variety of sports on one of 24 flat-panel TVs and play air hockey, foosball, darts, or pool. But it’s your bicep that will get all the exercise as you lift that neon yellow mug over and over and over again. That’s because Bulldog’s owner is no mere Muggle. You drink from it, but somehow it fills right back up again. It’s not magic, but it happens everyday. Bulldog’s Bottomless Cup will infinitely fill with well drinks for only 20 bucks.
