Albert Hall

Not far from Asbury Park are the Pine Barrens, an area settled by deserters from the Revolutionary War who maintained their old-time music traditions. The Albert Hall weekly Saturday night show and pickin' shed attracts visitors from all over the world and from regional locales like the Hamptons and Long Island. I went there to write about it and somehow ended up center stage playing along with the old-timers. Did I mention it's also the home of the infamous Jersey Devil?
