On our first night in Manhattan (Friday), we decided to go over to W. 27th street because we heard it was a very happening spot. Our goal was to go to Marquee, but it was a long line and one of my friends talked to the bouncers and said it wasn’t a super happening night. Plus there was a cover. This is when we noticed a bouncer at a door behind us and he said his club was free to get in… so we went there.

It was very bright, white, and chilly in Glass. It seemed somewhat sparse, but it was nice to be able to move around. After we got drinks, we walked over to the dance floor area. It took us a while to realize we were outside – there was no roof above our heads! That was kind of neat. They played decent music, a lot of hip hop and top 40 stuff. My friend requested Sexy Back and they played it twice for her.

Early on, we would dance now and then, but we were just sitting there too not quite into it yet. That’s when the waitress came and asked us what drinks we wanted because the manager wanted to buy them for us. When we talked to him, he said it looked like we weren’t having fun, and he wanted us to have a great time! We started having fun.

I would DEFINITELY go back. We had a good time, and it was nice because there was no wait and actually room to dance. It’s a great backup too if you can’t get into other clubs.
