Going Out? Seville Quarter

If you’re "going out" in Pensacola you will probably end up at Seville Quarter. There are only a few places to go in the city and the largest and most widely attractive is Seville Quarter. A pseudo-new Orleans feel, at least in decoration, greets you as you walk through the door, but don’t expect Jazz, at least on Friday and Saturday. Throughout the week, Seville’s hosts theme/activity nights in their different rooms. Monday’s Trivial in one and Salsa in another. A combination nightclub, piano bar, outdoor courtyard, pool, and many other activities, Seville Quarter is a five room extravaganza that attempts to meet all of the needs of Pensacolians in one place. The nightclub/ dance floor plays a mixture of old and sort of new hip/hop and pop, or the "normal" club music. Go ahead and dance, but the set up of the area prompted the locals to dub it a "meat market". The dance floor is medium size and recessed into floor so everyone stands around and enjoys the show. Virtually all of the hangouts in Pensacola are filled with Navy, here is no exception. Smoking is allowed and the place can get uncomfortable, if you are allergic either don’t go or stay in the outdoor area. I guess Seville’s serves food during the day time. I have to admit, every time I have gone it has been for alcohol. Take a look at the website www.rosies.com and enjoy Pensacola.
