Before we went to Vegas, we saw that Brad Garrett was going to be at the Mirage and thought, "Great. Let's go see the 'Everybody Loves Raymond' star." We thought that he would put on a good show because we liked him on the show and he was always funny, so why not.

Well, he was funny, but he surely was not the character that he played on TV. He started out immediately with going after every ethnic group, personal oddity, and anything else he could think up. He was great. There were quite a few of the older generation who thought he was going to be the sweet Robbie, but for those who looked like a deer in headlights, Brad had a little fun with them. Singling them out and making them wish he would go back to the large guy in the shorts who wished he had worn long pants.

Another thing that you also do not want to do is go out during the middle of the show. This puts a large target on your back, and Brad has been doing stand-up a long time, so he will get the better of you, trust me. So please, go to the bathroom before entering—it will help.

Lastly, if you want to go wanting to learn more about Everybody Loves Raymond, he does have a little something for you as well. He does talk about Ray and the gang. Not a lot, but for a few minutes here and there, plus at the end he also has a few clips from the show that were not shown before. They are R-rated, so they are not going to be on the DVDs or TVs bloopers.

The bottom line is that if you want to laugh, then go, but remember, this is not "Robbie"—he is Brad Garrett.
