One of the big players on Petersburg's club scene, Metro club is everything the others aren't: highly fashionable, ostentatious and shamelessly corporate (note the Coca-Cola banner lining the façade). Predictably, the club attracts the city's young, reasonably well-off ultra-trendies. Entry is more expensive than at other clubs, as are bar prices. The cavernous venue has three levels with sizeable bars on each. The ground level dance floor plays Russian disco music and gets sweatily crowded, while the next level is aimed at a more techno-oriented crowd. Fans of European dance and house music head to the new upper level which is open on Friday, Saturday, Monday and Wednesday nights. Admission: Monday-Thursday: 10pm-11pm RUR80, after 11pm RUR120; Friday, Saturday and public holidays: 10pm-11pm RUR120, 11pm-midnight RUR160, after midnight RUR200.
