Gershman Young Men's Jewish Association

Description

Opened in 1926 on the Avenue of the Arts, the Young Men's Jewish Association (YMJA) evolved into a place for intellectual exercise. Recently sold to The University of the Arts, it offers a busy schedule of book lectures, chamber music recitals, original local music, dance classes, art and photography exhibits and film festivals. There are no athletic facilities and there is a charge for some of the Y's offering.
