Description
The Gaiety is an old and highly ornate theatre set just off Grafton Street. It has recently been refurbished, retaining its splendid Victorian auditorium while adding enhanced backstage features. The Gaiety hosts all manner of entertainment: the Dublin pantomime has its home here; so too does Opera Ireland, which performs two operatic seasons per year. In between, the Gaiety plays host to classical concerts, musicals, dance, Shakespeare and much more. You never know what will be on, but it's worth visiting the venue for the lavish and rather beautiful interior alone.
