if you are either naturally flirtatious, or like me cleverly brought my own girl, this place is a blast. My significant other and I aren't particularly into dancing but the atmosphere was pretty infectious if you are at all looking to have a good time and aren't a vulcan or against really loud r&b music. Although probably half the fun for most of the people there is trying to hook up, it was also hell of fun being able to feel up my own girl on the floor and know I wasn't going to get hit with a date rape charge later. Somehow, perhaps just the crappy decor, this place also has a vibe that I found to be not too pretentious. I mean it's cheesy and touristy but in a honest and down to earth way, it doesn't feel designed by Hollywood, it feels like it was made by real drunk Mexicans.
P.S. I definitely had a hangover, I have a feeling the cheap, crappy mandatory shots have a lot to do wit hit. I have had much worse hangovers though. Not too awful... By the way, I went on a Tuesday night, I'm really not that much of a party person and although I went by on Saturday it was just too intense. Even on Tuesday it was totally packed and when we stumbled out to go get it on at 4am it was still going strong, but there weren't very long lines to get to the bars or the bathrooms or get in, which was nice.

Watch out for the locals who get very touchy with the females if left alone for just a second.

Some of the most amazing things happen at Squid Row--people are dancing on the bars, tables, and hanging off the bannisters. It's as if you stepped into New Orleans for a night, every night, if you dare to go there over and over again, which I did because it was very entertaining.
You must visit Squid Row because it will be the only way you know you have fully experienced Cabos!

The good thing here is the upper deck, which allows you to get away from the dancing craziness below and people watch for awhile. From there you can also get your drinks without squeezing through the throng of people and even gaze into open the night sky above.
