You get to see more and hear more about the park than just go see a game there. We got to see the press room, suites including the party and club suites, the dugout and where the players go such as the locker rooms and there is even an indoor batting practice area. I went in the wintertime and there was some ice in the dugout. Kentucky Bluegrass is even used on the field and I enjoyed the tour.

Coors Field

This was the best part of my trip. I love watching sports live with my own eyes. This ballpark is absolutely beautiful. It looked like an old venue when it really wasn't old at all. The weather could not have been any better that day and the game was tight the whole time. The Rockies lost that day against the Diamondbacks, but who cares when you saw a great park, great crowd to support them, and five fountains behind centerfield streaming out water. Woo hoo! This is the best parking lot I have ever seen in a ballpark too. I got out of my car and into my seat in less than 10 minutes. Absolutely amazing!

Coors Field is a beautiful stadium. The tour highlighted many little-known facts about the construction of the stadium as well as some of the areas most fans do not get to access during the normal course of a day. It was hard to be in the baseball mood in December, but that made the tour group small (four people total) and more personal. The tour guide was very friendly and very open with dialogue.

Great place to see a ballgame. I saw two while I was in town and enjoyed both. The fans are polite and fun to be around and concessions are great. It also offers one of the best views from outside the stadium of any park I've been to.

Coors Field

Quite possibly the most beautiful ballpark in the majors, Coors Field will leave any baseball fan and many outdoor lovers waiting for a return trip. Coors is of the new breed of major league baseball stadiums that have the modern conveniences but the feel of the old time stadiums. The facade of brick and glass welcomes you to the entrance ways and then you're quickly guided inside the ballpark towards the seating areas by ushers almost too eager to be of assistance. Pay special attention to the enormous scoreboard in left field that is one of the tallest and most scenic in baseball and beyond the scoreboard to the Rockies which defintely serve as the most visually spectacular backdrop in baseball.

If you're so inclined, Coors Field has a single row of seats in the upper deck that mark exactly one mile above sea level and they are easily distinguishable by the seats purple color which stands out amid the green ballpark seats.

If you're more interested in comfort, spend a few extra dollars on club level seats whih provides a private escalator entrance, carpeted air conditioned walk ways around the ballpark and private concession stands serving everything from standard ballpark fare to specialty foods in a pre-game buffet. Bars are also available in the club level for those who are interested and although the ticket prices are among the highest in the majors, the food prices are reasonably priced compared with other ballparks.

Parking is difficult around Coors, so if you're staying in the downtown area, you might take the time to check into a cab or a city bus or perhaps even a hotel shuttle. What you spend on cab fare or public transportation might well be cheaper than the $10-20 you'll pay for parking near the stadium.

Overall, Coors Field is one of my favorites and a place that I look forward to returning to over and over. I hope you find the same enjoyment!
