A bit of Spain in suburban Detroit, Alegrias serves a wide selection of zesty tapas for appetizers, but they are large portions. For the main course there are three types of paella -- seafood, chicken and seafood, and vegetarian -- as well as other Spanish entrees like Chistorra y champiniones a la plancha featuring mushrooms and sausage in wine sauce. Thick steaks are also available, along with a variety of wines and desserts. On Friday and Saturday nights Alegrias features authentic flamenco music and dance.
