Ten minutes from the city centre and situated on a lively street, this is one of a small chain of family owned bars. Chart music pumps out of the stereo and a live DJ at weekends provides further entertainment. A favourite haunt for stag and hen parties, the crowd is young and very noisy and on steamy summer nights the shutters get thrown back and the party spills on to the street. The food is excellent value for money; try the burger with chips and salad or maybe a nice sirloin steak for around £5. The bar sells an extensive range of beers and spirits, and every flavour of vodka is available, for example hot chilli and Smarties or perhaps one of the many cocktails with unprintable names.
