It's a pretty nice, but crowded casino. I lost CAN$100 in a hurry playing $10/hand blackjack. The dealer just couldn't bust! Anyway, it's a really beautiful building, and easy to get to with public transit (CAN$2 gets you there: Metro to Ile-Ste-Helene, free transfer to bus). Nonsmoking floors are up top and less crowded. And don't believe the older guidebooks saying you have to dress up. Jeans are FINE.

The casino is HUGE. I'm not a big gambler, but I'm pretty sure you can find almost every conventional way to lose money right in one giant building, short of betting on live horses. They've got enough slot machines to suck up the Franklin Mint (though of course they wouldn't take any of the American coins there). Various types of poker, blackjack, roulette, baccarat...what's your pleasure? Bars and restaurants, too. A fun place to spend a night, but if you're not careful that sucking sound you hear will be your life savings flying out of your pockets.
