The food and service at Cafe di Moda is fine, but they have a problem. Immediately outside the open air café there is street side seating which occupied by a group of grimy, middle aged, unsavory looking men. They are ethnic in that they communicate in another language, most likely eastern European and seem to scrutinize people passing by in their native tongue, and they never stop smoking. I have also seen them hassling woman as the pass, sometime standing up and annoying them. I visit Stones Corner regularly for business and they are always there, the same guys. Today my girlfriend and I dropped into Stones Corner for breakfast. Happening upon Café di Moda the first thing we run into are these guys who were sitting there rudely gawking at my girlfriend. I don’t know if they are connected to the café or are simply tolerated by the owners. But if their behavior and conduct are anything to go by, then the owner / operators should be making an effort to move them on. We will never eat there, and neither will you when see what I am talking about.
