Pleasure Island

One couple in our group was celebrating their 23rd wedding aniversary and wanted to go to Pleasure Island. There are places to eat and a comedy club plus music clubs. We ate and then went to the comedy club. After that, we went from club to club. Starting with the 70's club, then blues, rock, disco, and jazz. They had a rock group outside. It was a major party place. You could buy drinks at all the clubs, plus there were vendors in the street selling jello shots and shooters. The price of food and drink were a little high, but you are in Disney. There were a lot of young people there and the street and clubs were crowded -- everyone was partying. My husband and I are not big drinkers, but even we had a good time.

If you enjoy a variety of different music types this is the place for you. With at least seven night clubs from jazz to 70s retro, plus live stage shows and fireworks at midnight. You can also eat and shop. Big plus is adults only after 9pm.

A place to have fun and let loose after a day in the theme parks.

This is a compilation of every different type of night club you could imagine, all rolled into one area. You can get '60s, '70s, '80s, and '90s music in a few steps of one another. Entry price is kind of steep for a cover charge, and drinks are a little pricier than your local tavern, but it's all about the atmosphere. So go, have a blast, and enjoy the experience.

I think we must be getting too old. I couldn't believe they had Jello shooters! I guess I am not that old because I knew what they were. We did really enjoy the Comedy Warehouse and laughed and laughed. You need to get in line early, though. The other clubs were just a bit too loud for our taste (40-50 group). Prices are what you would expect at Disney.

The ultimate in club hopping! Something for everyone! As you enter Pleasure Island, you enter a new world. They have several clubs, all with distinct themes. Begin with a drink from a street vendor as you wander down Main Street. Take in the music, live bands, and performances on the outside stages.

Enter "8-Tracks" the 70's club. Try out some of those disco moves that made you so smooth in high school. Or head on down to the Beach Club and shoot some pool as you be-bop to those golden oldies. Mellow out to the sounds of the blues with a snifter of brandy at The Blue Note and don't forget to stop by Mannequins to dance the night away on their revolving dance floor.

If you feel the need to calm things down, take in some shopping at one of their many memorabilia stores or catch the fireworks show at midnight. We had a great time!
