Nightlife in Salzburg is varied and interesting. There are bars, clubs, pubs, wine bars, and taverns to suit all tastes, ages, and budgets. No matter what you choose, you are assured a welcoming atmosphere. Most bars and clubs will run a tab; this means that it's easier to pay for drinks separately if there is a group of you.
The club scene is certainly different; one could probably say its nonexistent. However the Austrians love to dance and there are plenty of places where you can do that. You will find designated dance floors in the Shamrock and the Republic.
