Island Pub replaced Mike's Place after its owner passed away. With the kitchen remodelled, it went through a transformation into its current incarnation of a wonderful, trendy place still run by the same family.
The atmosphere is now quite nice, with wood floors, nice tables and chairs, new bar and kitchen facilities. The view into the bay is marred by its foreground of a tar rooftop.
The service was fair. I ordered a ginger ale, which they make from scratch, and it was very nice. Wine by the glass is available for five dollars.
We ordered bruschetta for an appetizer. They offer appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pizzas, desserts (apple pie pizza, strawberry chocolate pizza.)
