Club 1900 is about what one might consider the fraternity party of Heidelberg. The typical age range is 14-25 and is a diverse crowd consisting mostly of Americans or Turkish natives. One does not typically see the average German clubbing here. If you are looking for dancing it can be a lot of fun as they tend to play today's most popular hip-hop. However, it can turn into all turkish hip-hop very late in the evening depending on the crowd make-up. While the dance floor is rather small, this place still knows how to throw a big party. The dance floor is surounded by mirros which allows for neat light effects and flirting from many angles.
Drink prices are pretty average although the fancy stuff can be expensive. Expect to pay around 2 to 3 euro for beer and up to 12 euro for specialty drinks. Visitors (especially Americans) are advised to practice caution, stay in groups, and not let anyone pick a fight with them under the influence of too much alcohol. I have witnessed this place become rowdy before, but generally I feel safe here.
Usually there is no cover charge, especially if you're over the age of 18, but every now and then for no apparent reason they decide to charge a couple of euro.
