Out Clubbing

Out Clubbing

I'll admit, I have no idea what the name of this club is. I was going out with a friend and we were meeting up with another friend at this club. I can honestly tell you that I was shocked at the decor. It was like the god of rock and roll had forgotten to rescue this kitschy gem that was trapped in the '80s, fully equipped with geometrically lined, blinking lights (see photo). Nevertheless, I had a great time with my friends.

I was a little surprised that the guys danced with each other (usually when the DJ played Arabic music). My friend told me that in Tunisia, there are usually a lot more guys than girls in the clubs and that most of the time the girls are with "their" guys anyway (meaning they can't be approached). So the guys just dance with each other - no big deal. I had to expand my big-city brain in order to take this in. And I had to admit, those boys know how to dance!
