Alongside the river, The Ship Inn or The Hanbury Arms are probably the best places to start a summer evening. Other enjoyable stops are the Goldcroft Inn on the common and Minstrel's - a slightly smokey sports bar next door. The best is undoubtedly The White Hart on the High Street. Though many of the pubs have a rather local feel, Welsh hospitality prevails and makes for a pleasant evening out.
