Bar at the Main House

Once again, since I was chained the Cranwell Resort with everyone from my company and our Dutch counterparts, the only bar I got to experience was the one in the sitting room of the main house. But hey, it was a great time. Here's what my night consisted of:

The first thing I learned on this trip is that Dutch people are really tall. Especially when there's over fifty of them in a room together. The second is, when you combine them with a bunch of Americans, you've got a lot of drinking on your hands. Every night after the all day conferences, everyone would meet for happy hour at the bar, for an hour or so before dinner. Then everyone would congregate in the same place after dinner!

On the last day of the trip our vice president told us that the maitree d' had complimented us on the kind of a group that we were. He said that he'd never seen people who could drink so much and stay out so late and still be on time for an eight a.m. seminar the next day. HA!
