El Matador has a hip feel. The music is varied. On Saturdays, you can sit back and watch the flamenco dancing. We were there another night listening to a band play way cool Klezmer music. Drinks are affordable and the attitude is very local. We never felt like we were stuck in a drunken frat party like we do in so many other New Orleans joints.
