The Brickskeller

If you are a beer lover, Brickskeller is definitely your mecca in DC. With over 1,000 beers from around the world and a claim for the Guinness Book of World Records for the number of beers available, Brickskeller is definitely a must. It is located on a walking distance from Georgetown and Dupont Circle (another neighborhood full of restaurants and bars). The interior of this basement bar is very cellar-like, with arched doorways and red brick walls covered with antique beer cans and bottles from all over. The staff is pretty knowledgeable of the beers, and recommendations made for your choice of beer are pretty good. Surprisingly, the price of beer is not any higher that what you would expect, if not low (compared to $6 domestic beers in New York!). Every beer comes with a different glass.
