While it boasts some of the world's best fishing and scuba diving, Cabo San Lucas is best known for one thing: its nightlife. And with its packed multi-floor hotspots like Squid Roe, and its massive tequila bars like Pancho's, it's not hard to see why.
You'll want to start any night of partying with a good base of food, and fortunately Cabo boasts some pretty good restaurants. Pancho's is a tourist favorite for its excellent menu and massive (450+ selections) tequila bar, while the rock music on the menu at Love Shack is a welcome alternative to the club beats dominating most other Cabo nightspots. Try the Rainbow Shot (nine glasses, nine colors) at Rip's Bar on the Plaza Mariachis on Cabo's main drag – Marina Boulevard – and head out on the town.
Revelers flock to The Giggling Marlin for its interactive servers, comedy sketches and the infamous upside-down shot, while Shots Bar, just up Marina Boulevard, always draws a crowd with its margaritas. If you're looking for a younger, college crowd, try Restaurante Mango Deck, but if you just want a no-holds-barred party, the three floors of club and bar at Squid Roe shouldn't disappoint.
If you're looking for a quieter (and/or classier) evening out, book two seats on a Tropical Sunset Jazz Cruise. You'll be serenaded with the old classics as you sail along the coast, marveling at El Arco (The Arch) and the sea lions that call it home. Then try a nightcap at Two For The Road. This small jazz spot is a hidden gem, where owners Kathy and Marty entertain full tables late into the night.
