We were knocked out by this incredibly beautiful restaurant situated right on Horseshoe Bay beach. Not only was the food exceptional...varying from local crab and barramundi seafood to fresh locally supplied salads with a 'European touch'... my partner had the fillet steak that he said just melted in his mouth...and he's fussy! And the desserts were 'to die for'....gourmet chocolate mousse, blueberry crème brulée, really 'bitey' cheesecake (mmmh). But the highlight for us being art lovers was the abundance of great paintings, water colours, acrylics, sculptures, hand-made silks, aboriginal dot paintings, hand-crafted fine jewellery including WA pearl necklaces and earrings with pearls the size of 20 cent pieces.
We dined there both for lunch and dinner (because we went once and were so impressed). At night the whole restaurant becomes a 'fairyland' with magical lights twinkling in their gorgeous rainforest backdrop (other side to the bay). We've been lucky enough to travel all over the world and eat at some pretty amazing spots but if you're in far north Queensland...don't miss out on this restaurant. Oh, and if you're into wine which my partner is, make sure you talk to the owner, David.... I couldn't pull my partner away ...after his third bottle of coinoisseur red. He and Dave raved for ages whilst I enjoyed the art and ambience. Hey, let us know if you enjoyed it, too!
