Description: On a afternoon errand running to Bloomingdales on the southeast end of the park we looked for a nice little cafe for lunch. By locating where we were on the GPS we looked for recommendations in the area. After reading some reviews on the nearby Sunberry's Cafe, we decided it would be a good place to try.
Described as "Euro Food Bar", this little cafe on East 60th Street was a great place for a quick, yet healthful, lunch. A popular place for office take-out, this well-stocked cafe has a big selection of daily specials with their hot and cold bar, salad bar, custom sandwich and wrap area, daily soups, plenty of homemade pastries, and a large selection of beverages including full coffee, juice, and smoothie bar.
From the outside it looks quite small, with just a couple cafe tables on the sidewalk and inside the front window, but when you enter, you'll see more seating in the back, as well as a full dining area upstairs overlooking 60th Street. The staff was very friendly and helped us pick out a few selections.
We both ended up ordering the grilled veggie panini with brie, as well as a cup of the black bean soup. The soup was great and was full of flavorful herbs and perfect for the chilly windy weather.
If you're in the area doing some shopping, this cafe is a good standard place to get quick, healthy, and tasty food for a good price.
