Pink Flamingo is an American diner styled restaurant in a leafy (well it is Autumn) part of Warsaw, quite a bit out of the centre by the artificial ski slope and Szczesliwicki Park which is popular with dog walkers.
Getting There
-----------------
Take Tram 7,9 or 15 from the centre in the direction of Ochota and get out at Korotynskiego, then walk a short distance, there is a map on the website of Pink Flamingo.
Looks
--------
From the exterior, the restaurant looks slightly run down which is a difference from the shiny likes of TGI Friday's, Champions, Hard Rock Cafe and the assortment of other American restaurants in the city. This may have just been because it was autumn and we were sitting outside rather than in, the inside looked like a traditional US diner, the kind people visit in the middle of the night in movies. A bit of rockabilly or Elvis was played and the toilets were kitted out in an American kitsch way. Like the inside of a Cadillac, the decor was fun.
Food
------
Having heard good things on just about all of their food, including the Louisana Tiger Prawns.. i felt rather safe to choose just about anything. I have to say that I was in a burger mood though so just went for the rather plain Bluecheeseburger, decent meat and a very pleasant size, this was extremely good value for its size and I was extremely happy with the outcome of my choice. This is definitely one of the best value places serving up good US food and is defiitely worth your custom. They also serve up a range of steaks, pastas, tortillas and tasty desserts. Menus are in two languages and staff can speak English.
