Wide Variety of Dishes and Great Service!

Red Rocks is one of my favorite restaurants in Charlotte. We always go to the South Park location. The restaurant is in the upscale Strawberry Hill Shopping Center. While not pretenious it is a very nice restaurant.
When you enter the restaurant you will see the deserts in a case to your right. Be sure to order one of these later on.
We usually do not order an appetizer but we have had the Queso Spinach dip which was OK but not nearly as good as their other offerings. The Parmesan Potato cakes are fantastic but we usually sub it for one of the sides with our entree. They are sort of creamy parmesan mashed potatoes fried up and served with a dill sacue for dipping.
I have had the Spinach salad several times. Make sure to order the small size as it is plenty for one person. The bacon dressing is tangy and served warm. Pour it over the salad and wait a few minutes before eating so that the spinach wilts a bit. This is no time to be dipping your fork in dressing! The salad has a good selection of fresh vegetables and more bacon.
If you are hungry I recommend the full rack of ribs. The ribs are tender without being fall off the bone mushy the bbq sauce is quite tasty.
For desert we usually order the Vanilla Bean Torte. It has a chocolate crust and a great vanilla flavor.
