We were staying down the street and decided to try this place out, as the aromas were tantalizing.
The decor is stunning and a bit over the top, but the food did not disappoint. We had lamb sag, garlic naan, and all sorts of drinks and appetizers. It was all over quite delicious. And the staff was great for the most part - until it came time to leave. We had to ask several different times for our check, and then when my friend tried to get a box for her leftovers, the waiter kept trying to collect her plate and throw them away. We had seen other diners get boxes for the leftovers, so he wasn't just trying to take them in the back to box. We teased her about it the rest of the trip. Take-away?
The spices were strong without being bludgeoning, cooked well and presented pretty. Prices were decent and the location was great for us, and is two blocks off the Royal Mile.
