Always a Great Time and Food

Hello again. Today I will tell you my experience with Sunrise Diner in South Allentown. My friends and I started frequently visiting this diner again after their re-opening (They leveled the building and rebuild completely so everything is still fairly brand new and always clean) They even ran new pipes so this is by far the best tap water in allentown!

We prefer the evening, usually past 10pm, after the dinner crowd has parted. There overnight menu still has a lot of stuff on it. There prices are comparable to other 24 hour diners in the Allentown Area and there staff here tend to be more friendly on a regular basis.

I enjoy getting my Cheddar Bacon Cheeseburger with BBQ sause and Hash Browns instead of Fries (Their hashbrowns are the rounded square type fried to perfection) And in the evening the cook "John" has mastered the kinda hard art of actually making them perfect (done, golden brown, not dryed out!) as other places locally tend to way overcook them.

The staff are very attentive and keep up with low or empty beverage cups fairly swiftly... a given 2 person dinner here can cost around $20 depend on tipping. There parking lot is well lit and always has a space for you. Smoking is located right outside the doors with a small awning for those rainy or snowy nights!

If you are not into big crowds and plan on visiting overnights, I do not recommend Thurs, friday or satuday nights as the bar rush crowd is there from 1 til 3 or so...

This diner is well visited my the Allentown Police (They eat here all the time too, so it's gotta be good) Enjoy and try the hashbrowns, my personal favorite!
