Il Sole is a restaurant located in the heart of the business district, staff are friendly and efficient, toilets are incredibly clean and it really is quite a fine establishment, the one bone I have to pick with this is that they have an electric door which opens on one side, then another a metre in front which opens the other side, this always confuses me - particularly after having a few and it's a recipe for disaster.
On offer are a mixture of meat, fish, pasta dishes and risotto - it looks good and the prices for one meal are normally in the 20zl's, so not the cheapest place in town but not ridiculously dear. I've never actually ate there, it is in a relaxing square called Plac Mirowski where you can idle away time whilst watching the last trams go by, beer at 7zl (1.75) for 0.5l of Tyskie is reasonably priced and it's even cheaper on weekends at 6zl. It's a very relaxing place to sit during the summer and is also a hidden gem when it comes to football tournaments, they put a screen outside but it's not as busy as other places, yet often cheaper.
This place is easily reached by walking from the centre, it is also on several tram lines (16, 17, 33 and 19), the nearest tram stop, exactly opposite the place is Hala Mirowska, the staff are welcoming, do not rush you and they are used to foreign guests because of all the big hotels nearby.
Lunch is often the best deal in Warsaw and this place is no different, they have an all you can eat offer on for 24zl (6 pounds) from midday to 3pm on weekdays. The Mussaka is said to be delicious.
