No Frills Polish Food

Established in the mid 1980's, this naturally lit restaurant features a menu limited almost exclusively to Polish cuisine. The interior is a blend of wood-paneling and yellow/white sponge painting. The walls feature generic art, and various signage. This is the go to place for visitors to warsaw looking for a socialist-era restaurant that's as friendly on the eyes as it is on the wallet. The best part of the restaurant is the no-nonsense atmosphere, and the cosy, almost cramped interior. Seating is limited to about 30 people, however most often there are around 5-10 people dining at anytime. The food I ordered was Meat Pierogies, a side salad (chilled beets), and Zurek soup. You can easily get a meal for around $7-10 depending on what you want. Read there full menu online at www.bargrochowski.com.
