Wonderful Seafood Dishes

This restaurant is located in Keaukaha on the East Side of the Big Island of Hawaii. They specialize in seafood entrees and dishes with an Asian influence. The last time that I dined at this restaurant I ordered their Macadamia Nut Crusted Mahi which is mahimahi cutlets served with Wasabi cream (mildly hot) and sweet chili sauce. I love mahimahi fried but mahimahi with the macadamia nut batter is delicious. The wasabi cream and sweet chili sauce give it the zing!

Great Local Food at the Seaside Hotel

This is the perfect place to eat at if you are staying at the Seaside Hotel on Banyan Drive. They serve Pacific Island Cuisine. This local favorite overlooks the fLokoa'ka Fishpond in Reeds Bay that is home to a variety of fish and birds. You can also see the locals who like to swim and jump off into the pond during the weekends. The wide menu selection includes only the freshest fish, a variety of seafood, choice steaks, the popular prime rib and their popular "Seaside Chicken". The service is very friendly and "local". Note that they are only open for dinner on Tuesday through Thursday from 5pm - 8:30pm and on Friday through Saturday from 5pm - 9pm (they are closed on Mondays). To get to this restaurant from Highway 19, just continue driving down Kamehameha Highway past the Kamehameha statue until you get to the intersection of Kanoelehua Avenue and Banyan Drive. Cross over the intersection and you will see the Seaside Restaurant sign at your left.
