Piccola Trattoria di Lucia is a family owned and run place, a little difficult to find but worth the effort. The interior has family pictures and lots of ancient kitchen implements and service is friendly. But the food - that's what it's all about and it's wonderful. We started with the house specialty of roasted vegetables - no one does vegetables like the Italians and these were outstanding: eggplant, mushrooms, peppers, white broccoli, and olives. For the main course I had, again, the house specialty, of spaghetti alla gricia, pasta served with bacon and lots of pecorino cheese while David had rabbit with artichokes. Both were excellent. We decided to go crazy on the wine and ordered a bottle of Amarone - how decadent! For dessert we finished off with tiramisu, which was better than my own which is darn good, and panna cotta with fruit. We're still dreaming about this meal!
