The Coast Grille & Oyster Bar is an elegant restaurant that serves Hawaii Regional Cuisine at its finest. The views from the restaurant is outstanding. Diners sitting out on the balcony can watch the sunset at Hapuna Beach. The entrance to this restaurant is fabulous with ocean decor. They serve a wonderful Ono (Wahoo) dinner along with wonderful salads and desserts. It is pricey but well worth it. They also have delicious local shrimp dishes, a fabulous oyster bar and beautiful beach sunsets. Their desserts are out of this world. I really enjoyed their ice cream dish with a latticed wafer cone. Service is fast and friendly. Reservations are recommended because this restaurant can get crowded especially when the hotel is at full occupancy. Also I would recommend sitting out on the balcony so you can get a good view of Hapuna beach and the sunset. There is ample parking and the hotel offers valet parking also. To get to Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel from Kona, take the Queen Kaahumanu Highway south about 50 minutes until you reach a sign on the right that reads Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel. Then take a right and drive under the highway until you reach the hotel. I would highly recommend the Coast Grille & Oyster Bar to visitors.
