Description: The name Blue Moose made this restaurant irresistible to us and we were very glad we gave it a try, as it turned out to be one of the best meals we had in Pigeon Forge. After snapping a photo of the spectacled moose over the door we entered the sports bar and were met by a hostess who seated us immediately. The menu offered numerous flavors of wings and a variety of burgers, most for under $10. A sampler platter of wings for $18.99 was tempting but always afraid of getting something too spicy we opted for burgers. I choose the Junkyard Burger, a beef patty topped with chili and coleslaw, served with french fries for $7.99. This burger was piled so high with the fixin’s the top of the bun wouldn’t even stay on. There was no way to pick it up, it had to be eaten with a fork and it was delicious. My daughter ordered the Mushroom Patty Melt also with fries for the same price. While her burger wasn’t quit as thick as mine it was still a handful and the melted cheese was dripping down the sides. The restaurants décor was a typical sports bar setting with an assortment of moose signs scattered throughout. We had arrived shortly after opening time, 11:00 am, so even thought there were several customers it was not crowded. It was located in a shopping center called Teaster Crossing and can be accessed from Teaster lane or the main roadway through town, the Parkway. The prices were fairly reasonable and the food was outstanding. And I just couldn't resist the Blue Moose souvenir t-shirt sold at the checkout for $18.
