Voodoo Doughnut

Voodoo Doughnut is an institution, here in Portland. Open 24hrs a day, 7days a week, you can get your yummy doughnut fix here. Calling all connoisseurs!

These guys have it right. They have some crazy concoctions that will leave you scratching your head and wondering what it could possibly taste like.
Doughnuts topped with Rice Krispies, Froot Loops, Oreo cookies, Butterfinger, anything you can imagine.

Try their signature Voodoo Doughnut, shaped like a voodoo doll.
If you’re brave you can go for the Grape Ape which is a raised doughnut with vanilla frosting and grape powder. Or how about The Memphis Mafia which has chocolate chips, banana and a peanut butter glaze. Sounds crazy? How about sinking your teeth into a Maple/Bacon doughnut…yeah you heard me correctly. A doughnut with maple frosting and topped with cooked bacon. My personal favorite is the no name doughnut. They couldn’t figure out a name, cuz it was so good. It has chocolate frosting, Rice Krispies and peanut butter on it.
If you’re feeling very adventurous, you can try the Pepto Bismol/Nyquil one.
This place also offers a full line Vegan doughnuts for those of you who don’t eat anything.

They have a wedding chapel on the premises and both Kenneth and Tres (the owners) are ordained ministers and can marry you for the low, low price of $175.00.

I love coming here and seeing the new things they come up with. The menu changes all the time, so you may have a favorite and the next time you come, it will be gone, so GO OFTEN!
