This place is good as far as British pubs go! It's a good place to stop while cruising the canals. It is right in the center of town, easy to moor up to,and next to the only mini-mart and tourist center for 2 hours if you're boating.
Food is inexpensive, but here you honestly get what you pay for. Food is bland and brown! It was hard to find anything even remotely appetizing and vegetables are a rarity, unless of course they're fried. Try the desserts and coffee instead.
Beers and ales, however, were generally good. They felt higher in alcohol than I'm used to, but many good varieties are available.
This is a great spot to experience the local culture. I recommend it more for the atmosphere than the food.
