Buffalo Wild Wings

Buffalo Wild Wings is a sports bar, a loud sports bar, with lots of college students and blaring TVs. As long as you are prepared for that, it is a nice place to eat lunch.

I was greeted the minute that I walked into the restaurant by the Manager. He was very upbeat and friendly. I told him that I was waiting on a friend and that I wanted to wait in the bar. He seated me at a table right beside the bar and took my drink order. He asked me if I would want an appetizer and I told him to hold off until my friend arrived. I said we would probably move to the dining room then. He was very helpful. He said he would seat us and when we were ready to just signal him. He gave me a drink menu and explained about the different types of Lynchburg Lemonades available. Once my friend arrived, the Manager seated us and asked if we were ready to order an appetizer. I said that I needed to look at the menu. He said that a server would be with us in a minute to take our orders. As soon as the Manager left, the server came to take our appetizer order and our drink orders. We ordered Mozzarella sticks. Once she served our Mozzarella sticks, she took our order for entrees. I ordered the Chicken Queso Wrap and the chips. She offered me fries or another side if I preferred, but stated that the wraps came with corn chips and salsa. I said that was fine. My guest ordered the same. She smiled and stated, "Two Chicken Queso wraps with chips coming right out." She didn't rush us at all. My wrap was great, but I didn’t like the corn chips. They tasted burnt.

There is a very steep walkway up to the restaurant from the parking lot. It looks to be wheelchair friendly, but steep. I saw tables being bussed as soon as the people sitting there had left. There were rarely any dirty tables left sitting for more than a minute or two. The staff was right on top of things. The Women's room was fairly messy. Some of the dispensers had toilet paper and some were empty. All had an extra roll just sitting on top of the dispenser. One stall had toilet paper unwound all over the floor from the extra roll. The trash was overflowing and the back handicapped stall was fairly dirty.

The game was on--football--and the reception was clear. There were a lot of cheering fans around the bar. Football and bowling were the primary channels as well as the trivia screen. The noise level was fine--not screaming and loud enough to create a good feeling of excitement for those engrossed in the football game.
