Outback Steakhouse

I know that putting a chain restaurant as a place to visit sounds a little strange, but this place is amazing. I have to all of the places around the city (ie, Applebees, Fridays, etc.) and this one is unbelievable. For my birthday recently, my girlfriend decided to take me out to Outback on 23rd Street for a quiet dinner and a couple of drinks. What a good idea!

We were promptly seated and our waiter was such a riot. He was a nice guy who could take and give great jokes. We started off with the Australian beer that sounded the best (and wasn't the most expensive) and were off on our way to relaxing and having a good meal.

After a brief banter back and forth between Jenn and me, we ordered up a meal that was fit for kings. She got the steak with blue cheese and I got the ribs. I really thought that this food was going to be small portions, but when it arrived, I was sorely mistaken. As the food kept going down and the beers kept arriving, our stomachs rapidly approached their capacities.

When it came time for dinner to be over, our check arrived and wasn't too terribly bad considering what we had to eat (and how much of it) and all the beers we had. I think that the total was something like $50 for the both of us. Maybe it was a little more, but I didn't pay, Jenn did. Anyway, if you can, please make it out to your neighborhood Outback restaurant because it is totally worth it. Enjoy.
