Mount Fuji Japanese Steak House

Mount Fuji is located near Suffern, NY. You can see it from the NY State Thruway sitting at the top of the mountain. If you've ever been to Gasho of Japan in Central Valley, this is better!

The setup is a hibachi style table where you sit 6 to a table. The chef cooks and entertains there in front of you. The show depends on the level of cook that you get, but it's always entertaining. They usually make jokes and flip food into their hat or into your mouth. It's a lot of fun. If you get there early, you can sit in the lounge area and have a drink. There is usually a piano player/singer there.

Not only is it entertaining, but the food is really good. I recommend the filet mignon and shrimp. It is an expensive meal, but it is worth it.

The dress is casual. I wouldn't recommend wearing jeans, but I've seen people wearing them. If going on a weekend, you should make reservations.

Note, the car gets parked by valet service, so have a few singles on hand to tip.
