We were only in Florence for three nights, and we didn't find this place until the second - pity, because it was so fantastic! The chef & his daughter (she makes the tiramisu) were outstanding, as was the rest of the staff. And the food...simply excellent. The house wine was very good also. It's a little difficult to find, but well worth the effort - and it is close to the train station & the duomo. We will be returning in '08 and won't miss dining there.

The restaurant was packed with locals and was recommended by our hotel staff. We ordered the special of that day: linguine with clams. We were instructed that we were NOT to use the Parmesan cheese on the pasta, as it would be extremely offensive to the chef. Loaded with clams still quivering in their shells, we ate our fill. The homemade tiramisu was to die for. The house wine was also excellent: vino rosso toscano, I.G.T. The waiter was friendly and gave us pens as we left for little souvenirs.

Close to the train station, it was within walking distance, as was EVERYTHING from where we stayed.
