East Hampton has so many different restaurants to offer that it is hard to decide where to go. But if you can, make a stop at the Palm Restaurant. Located right at the end of the main part of East Hampton town, this place is extremely comfortable and the food is awesome.
I went with my family and before we even entered the restaurant portion of this building, we relaxed in the lobby area. This building is a combo of a restaurant and a hotel and the lobby is beautiful with its roaring fireplace (in the wintertime of course), comfy chairs and couches, and that old log cabin feel surrounding you. When we were shuffled into the restaurant, we were all starving and the service picked up on that right away. We all ordered different seafood and steak dishes, but I went with the swordfish plate. It was amazing! Unfortunately, it didn't come with any sides, so we ordered those to share with the table. The swordfish was so fresh and juicy, that it actually wrong to be eating it because it was that good.
The entire time, the waiter was on us like white on rice, tending to our every need and joking with us. He couldn’t have been nicer and the food was the perfect compliment. Now, I know that the Palm is a chain upscale restaurant, and that the Hamptons has so much to offer in the way of restaurants, but the Palms should make your list at least once while out there because it was that good. Enjoy!
