Located on the waterfront of Queenstown Bay, Prime offers high-end food and an elegant atmosphere. From the main dining room, the breath of Lake Wakatipu provides the viewing experience while a crackling fire roars in the background.

We had a soup appetizer (squash) and steaks for our mains -- one with Bearnaise sauce, the other with garlic and herbs. They were quite good, cooked just right and served with aplomb. The sommelier recommended a good Shiraz to go with our meal, and dessert was quite nice as well (Pavlova -- a New Zealand standard, and Chocolate Mousse).
