What's there to love about Menotti apart from the contemporary chic vibe? The late night specials, of course! All desserts at 50% off 10pm onwards. I swear, my heart fluttered.

Between the two of us, my friend and I split the tiramisu, chocolate mousse, and the lemon cream pie. The chocolate mousse, nicknamed "Morbida" was rich, dark, and bittersweet and therefore the perfect partner for the squeeze-your-eyes-shut-it's-so-tart lemon pie. The tiramisu was a winner, too.

Menotti was such a terrific find that I almost want to keep it to myself, but I feel compelled to spread the word to fellow dessert lovers. Where else in Singapore can you have your cake with the stylish set without breaking the bank? For 3 cakes, our bill came to SGD 10 - without a doubt, the sweetest deal in Singapore. If I lived here, the waiters would know me by name and would know my favorite desserts. Note the plural form, please.

Dress up a bit when you go here, only to blend in with the crowd. Service was prompt and polite. The ambience was cozy without being overly romantic - good for a date or for a girls' night out.

They also serve dinner, but we only went here for the desserts. I am told they tend to get crowded, although we had no problems getting a table when we went there.
