Fanny Ice Cream

Having read so much about this cafe and their wide ranging ice cream flavours, we simply had to try their ice-creams enroute to St Joseph's cathedral (and more shopping at Au Trieu and Nha Tho street).

On our first day, we tried their avocado and star anise ice cream as well as their crepes with macadamia ice cream. We fell in love with the rich, smooth texture and taste although star anise flavoured ice cream was a little too exotic for us. The crepes were fluffy and eggy and were a good match with the macadamia ice cream. Service was laid back but well, this is a cafe to rest and relax.

I tried their signature coconut ice cream (Malicova) on avocado while my friend had a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the second day. Both were yummy. All orders came with a small glass of water.

1 scoop of ice cream starts from VND$14000.

To get there:
It's just across the road from Hoan Kiem lake so if you are staying in the Old Quarters or surrounds, you can actually walk there. Otherwise, just hail a taxi.

This is the best ice cream place in town. They had so many sundaes and flavours of ice cream to choose from, and some of the best ice cream I have ever tasted.
