Located right on the left side of Montauk Highway just after Amagansett, The Clam Bar is a true local seafood heaven. With its quaint red shack design, cars parked on every available piece of property and only outdoor seating, this is anything but normal. The service is great and fast while the food portions are decently priced and definitely plentiful. The lobster roll is by far the best thing weighing in at $16.50, and worth every penny. Also, the fresh tuna steak, the swordfish, the steamers, and the freshly shucked clams are all to die for. Since this place has been recently reviewed by the Daily News, Coastal Living, and the New York Times, seats are getting pretty limited, so get there early and bring nothing but cash. Credit cards are not accepted. But if you would like, bring dog; they are allowed under tables and given water bowls and a lot of attention.
