This place was within walking distance of the Pelican Resort. We noticed it because it has that same name as a well-known restaurant in Philadelphia. We sat out on the deck overlooking Simpson Bay.

The food was excellent. The atmosphere was wonderfully romantic.

This was a great way to end our week on St. Maarten. We didn't have reservations, but the place is so small (10 tables) that you probably should make reservations. Although we didn't have it, they had a four-course meal special (salad, salmon, and flambé for dessert) for $32. They had a very nice wine list. The lobster ravioli and the shrimp and scallops with papaya were delicious.

Eight of us had a great meal at Le Bec Fin near the Pelican Resort. The food was very good and the wine list was good. Service was impeccable. Entrees ranged from Mediterranean fish soup to foi gras salad. Main dishes we had included beef (very good) and fish (excellent). Desserts were varied and good. All eight of us left content.
